Laura Peacock, director

Laura is the founder, owner and operator of Blue Feather Music. She loves working with young musicians to share the joy that music has brought to her life! She is SO excited to offer summer camps this year and can't wait to spend the week with your budding musicians!

Laura specializes in voice and piano, with a classical emphasis. She loves to sing all types of music and believes that a good foundation is the key to healthy technique through all styles.

When she's not teaching or managing the studio, you can find her in search of the best cup of joe D.C. has to offer, hanging with her scruffy dachshund, Biscuit, or learning a new recipe in the kitchen!

Kellie Mchugh, assistant Director

Kellie is one of the founding teachers for Blue Feather Music and has been teaching piano and voice with us! She also recently took on a more administrative role with the studio and has been an integral part of our family!

IIn D.C., she has sung with the Victorian Lyric Opera Company, been a featured soloist at George Washington's Mount Vernon, and most recently performed in The Little Theater of Alexandria's production of Anne of Green Gables. Kellie has 10 years of teaching experience in private vocal instruction. She's excited to bring her experience to your young musicians with our camps this summer.

When she's not singing, you can catch Kellie performing roles with local theatre companies or whipping up a sweet creation in the kitchen!
